Rae Guyse is an Associate Attorney in the cannabis and litigation practice groups at Ritter Spencer Cheng PLLC with a particular interest in supporting clients in the emerging hemp, cannabis and alternative medicine industries. Rae’s practice focuses on supporting clients in the cannabis and hemp industries, including dispensaries, growers, processors, manufacturers, retailers licensing, regulatory compliance, litigation, and other business needs. Rae’s practice also focuses on trademark, business formation, and other transactional matters. 

After graduating with honors from the University of Texas School of Law in 2020, Rae began her legal practice as an insurance recovery attorney, where she gained experience representing policyholders in insurance coverage disputes to maximize recovery in claims against insurers. Rae is skilled at analyzing insurance programs to identify holes or overlaps in coverage and can support clients in developing creative solutions to unique risk management challenges. Rae has also gained significant experience representing clients in various industries in complex commercial litigation matters.

Rae received her law degree with honors from the University of Texas School of Law in 2020. Rae graduated from Boston University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations (Cum Laude).

Rae is currently a member of the Texas Hemp Coalition and Texas NORML. As an advocate for advancement of women in law, Rae also serves as the Vice President of Programming for the Dallas Women Lawyer’s Association. Rae has a history of serving the community through both pro bono and volunteer work, and previously served on the board of the Boston Women’s Fund and the Houston Peace and Justice Center. Outside of the law, Rae is a yoga and meditation teacher and owner of Golden Sun Yoga and Wellness. Rae also hosts community-centered creative events throughout DFW.
